Early Childhood and Technology---Advanced

This training is designed to introduce participants to the SAMR model (used in technology to evaluate uses of technology) and an Early Childhood Technology Consideration Tool developed by the trainer and a technology specialist (Julie Jones-Branch, Ph.D., and Evi Wusk, ED.D.). Participants will consider their current uses of technology in the early childhood classroom and possibilities for future uses that are developmentally, age appropriate and enhance the curriculum.

 

Objectives:

·      To become aware of the SAMR model to determine types and uses of technology.

·      To understand how to use the Early Childhood Technology Consideration Tool to assist in curriculum decisions when using technology in the early childhood classroom.

·      To create developmentally appropriate technology goals for classroom use.
