Project Approach--Finding the Project Based on Children's Interests

This training is designed to help participants examine their observations, documentation, and assessments to identify children's interests and create project work based on these interests. Participants will share with one another their current observation, documentation, and assessment pieces and with the trainer's guidance, identify potential project work based on children's interests. Participants will then create Action Plans for planning activities to implement prior to the next training session.

Objectives:

·      To closely examine observation documentation, and assessment pieces to identify children's interests

·      To use children's interests to create potential project work for the early childhood classroom

·      To create Action Plans for future planning based on children's interests
